Question About HoverIP.

Does it support proxies? If not are you planning on adding it? I connect to the internet through a proxy server in our office

I remember when HD first came out.

That was the shit. Then it wasn't freeware. So I deleted it.

Now it's freeware and I use a Mac.

Pity.

NeXT-like clock in wharf:

Is there any way to modify the clock
so it appears properly in a NeXT-style
wharf?
Older screenshots used to show a proper
clock but things must've changed awhile
back.
The QNX theme, for instance, shows
the desired way in an old screenshot
but another will show the current style.

I don't see a way of attaching images
here so my avatar is a shot of the
clock as its displayed.
I'd like to be able to break down the
day/date into multiple lines to fill in the
little white area properly.
It seemed possible in old hoverdesk
versions but not today.

Did you try sesnding Hoverdesk an email asking them whether they are ever going to release version3.0?
~Arimus:iconArimus: May 21, 2005, 9:52:31 AM

Does anyone one know WTF is happening with Hoverdesk?

I payed for the stupid thing this morning and now reading this thread I'm really regretting that choice.

Which is a shame as what I've seen of 2.5 makes me think it is a well written and useful (which is more than can be said of a lot of programs) explorer replacement.

I have made a complete italian translation for Regseeker.
What I have to do for submitting it to RegSeeker developers?
If you want I can made a setup installer for the program but I need of all the ico files of the application.
Reply me soon.

Why doesnt Hoverdesk just come out with some kind of statement either that it has ceased operations or that something is coming for the users and give a definite date as to when that will happen. It has been 17 months since the beta 3 version was released and not one word on their site or anywhere else since.

I have been a Hoverdesk user for a long time and have also found that it works very well as a shell replacement. But no develment means no new themes and a total lack of interest.

How about it? Come out with some kind of a definitive statement about where things stand.

i emailed him too and got this message:

"Hi,

Of course not, development has not been stopped but we're really busy
working on the new website/new hoverdesk version.
A new version of RegSeeker is almost done and will be available on
september.

This is an e-mail I got from Thibaud when i e-mail him asking if HoverDesk was still being developed.

Hi,

Sure, HoverDesk is still under heavy development even if the final release 3.0 has been announced some times ago now. In fact, we're still adding new options in the product to be sure that it will include a lot of exciting features for this final release.
Website is going to be redesigned as well in a near future.

I think the answer must be no, it is not. It has been a year since the Hoverdesk website was updated and the 3.0 Beta hardware likewise has not been updated in the same amount of time.
